While dark clouds are looming over India's pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah's place in the T20 World Cup squad, BCCI president Sourav Ganguly feels that it is too early to jump to any conclusion regarding the 28-year-old's participation in the event.
Ganguly while providing an update about Bumrah's injury during an interaction with RevSportz did not rule out the possibility of the ace pacer's return completely. 'Bumrah is not out of the World Cup yet. we've got fingers crossed, don't rule him out yet', Ganguly said.
When asked about Bumrah travelling to Australia where the T20 World Cup will be hosted, Ganguly informed that it will only be clear after a couple of days.
Bumrah who did not play in the Asia Cup was ruled out from the ongoing South Africa series due to a back injury which in turn raised doubts around his T20 World Cup participation.
Meanwhile, as per a Sportstar report, Mohd Siraj who replaced Bumrah in the T20 squad for the South Africa series and 'Jammu Express' Umran Malik will travel to Perth where the team will practice before their warm-up games in Brisbane.
