Former England cricketer Andrew Flintoff hospitalised following car accident

Former England cricketer Andrew Flintoff has been hospitalised after a car accident while filming for the BBC show Top Gear in Surrey, England.

The 45-year-old former all-rounder was involved in the accident on Tuesday at the show's test track at Dunsfold Aerodrome, BBC confirmed. In their statement, they further informed that he was airlifted to a hospital for treatment and that his injuries are not life-threatening.

Flintoff, who played 79 Tests and 141 limited-overs internationals, retired from international cricket in 2009. He was the 2005 Ashes player of the series.
