Gautam Gambhir files defamation case against Punjab Kesari newspaper

BJP MP and Lucknow Super Giants mentor Gautam Gambhir has filed a defamation case against Punjab Kesari newspaper in the Delhi High Court.

In his defamation suit, Gambhir has sought damages of Rs 2 crore.

Gambhir has filed a lawsuit against the newspaper, its editor Aditya Chopra, and correspondents Amit Kumar and Imran Khan, alleging that they abused their editorial discretion by publishing several spiteful and defamatory stories that were deliberately written to harm him.

In one of the news articles in fact, Gambhir was compared with the mythical demon ‘Bhasmasur’.
