Harmanpreet Kaur only Indian to get picked in Women's Big Bash League overseas draft

Melbourne Renegades on Sunday retained Harmanpreet Kaur for their next season of the Women's Big Bash League.

A total of 18 Indian players, including Yastika Bhatia, Jemimah Rodrigues and Deepti Sharma, were part of the inaugural WBBL overseas draft but the Indian women's cricket team captain was the only Indian player to get picked.

Harmanpreet had a brilliant WBBL 2021-22 season with Renegades, scoring 406 runs in 12 innings at an average of 58.00. She also smashed 3 half-centuries.

Along with that, the 34-year-old also picked up 15 wickets at an economy of 7.45
