India's white-ball skipper Harmanpreet Kaur added yet another accolade to her cap as she surpassed legendary Mithali Raj to become the highest run-getter in Women's T20 Internationals for India. Harmanpreet achieved this milestone after scoring an unbeaten 31 off 32 balls against Sri Lanka in the second match of the three-match T20I series in Dambulla which India won by 5 wickets.
The 33-year-old all-rounder now has over 2300 runs with the help of a century and six fifties. Notably, Mithali recently took retirement from international cricket and had ammased 2,364 runs in 89 T20Is. Smriti Mandhana is placed third on the list.
In fact, Harmanpreet is also the third overall Indian batter with most runs in T20Is behind Rohit Sharma (3313 runs) and Virat Kohli (3296 runs).
