Ishan Kishan may be fighting to cement his place in the Indian team but the wicketkeeper-batter has never thought that he wants to replace Rishabh Pant in that role.
During an interview with the Times of India, Kishan said that Pant is his very good friend and he speaks his mind with him. 'Never once has it crossed my mind that I want his place and I can assure you, that’s been the case with him too', added Kishan. The 23-year-old further stated that when the two are in the middle of their cricket routines, they don’t even think that they are competing with each other.
Kishan, who was bought back by the Mumbai Indians for ₹15.25 crore in the IPL 2022 mega auction, played all 3 T20I vs the West Indies. He however didn't get a big score under his belt.
