After taking eight wickets in the recently concluded Day-Night Test, India's spearhead Jasprit Bumrah leapfrogged six spots in the ICC Test ranking to the fourth position.
However, Indian batting mainstay Virat Kohli dropped to the ninth position in the latest ranking on the back of his below-par show in the Sri Lanka Test series. Kohli managed to score only 23 and 13 in the Bengaluru pink-ball Test as he slipped four spots.

Notably, after getting dismissed for 13 in the second innings of the Bengaluru pink-ball test, Kohli's Test average also dropped below 50 for the first time since 2017.
