Spin twins Ravichandran Ashwin & Ravindra Jadeja have made significant gains in the latest ICC rankings after their heroics in India's win against the Aussies in the Nagpur Test.
The duo, who took 15 wickets between them in the match, consolidated their position at the top of the all-rounder rankings. While Jadeja is top with 424 points, Ashwin is second with 368.
Ashwin, in fact, also jumped 2 places to become the new No. 2 in the bowlers' rankings. He now trails Aussie captain Pat Cummins at the top by 21 points.
Player of the Match in the first Test, Jadeja, who returned to international cricket after a 5-month injury layoff, also gained 4 spots among the bowlers and is now 16th, two places ahead of compatriot Mohd Shami.
Indian captain Rohit Sharma also leaped a couple of places after his brilliant hundred. He is now 8th, a spot behind Rishabh Pant.
