Team India clinch the 3-match ODI series against Australia as they beat the Kangaroos by 99 runs (DLS method) in the 2nd ODI courtesy of a dominant display by the Men in Blue.
Put to bat first, Opener Ruturaj Gaikwad was dismissed by Josh Hazlewood early on in the game.
However, Shubman Gill & Shreyas Iyer's brilliant display on the day gave the team a great platform to build on.
While KL Rahul's half century steadied the boat for India, it was Suryakumar Yadav's 37-ball 72 which fired India to a mammoth 399/5, which also became the highest total by India against the Aussies in ODIs.
In reply, Spinners owned the night as three wickets each from Ravichandran Ashwin & Ravindra Jadeja helped limit the Kangaroos to a mere 217.
Sean Abott's late 54-run cameo was not enough as India sealed the ODI series on the night.
