Axar Patel achieved a special feat on the final day of the 4th Test vs Australia as the off-spinner became the fastest Indian bowler to take 50 Test wickets in terms of balls bowled.
The wicket of a well-set Travis Head for 90 in the 2nd innings of the Ahmedabad Test marked this special milestone for Axar.
The record was previously held by Jasprit Bumrah, who took 2465 balls en route to his 50 Test wickets. However, Axar took 260 deliveries less than Bumrah.
