Even though the BCCI has given Indian batter KL Rahul a chance to prove himself in the upcoming two Test matches against Australia, there has been a change in terms of his designation in the squad as the former has not been named as the vice-captain of the side in the team list.
Despite of his inconsistency with the bat, the 30-year-old has been given numerous chances to prove himself. However, Rahul has failed to deliver with the likes of in-form batter Shubman Gill waiting for his chance.
While Rahul hasn't been dropped from the Indian squad who has performed brilliantly in the last 2 tests, the board seems to have decided to demote him from the vice-captain's post.
