Team India head coach Rahul Dravid feels teams should have realistic expectations from their batters especially on challenging wickets.
The coach's comments came after India lost the 3rd Test by 9 wickets and the pitch used in all the 3 Tests in Indore, Delhi and Nagpur faced criticism.
Among the Indian batters, only Rohit Sharma has been able to score a century in the ongoing Border Gavaskar trophy. Backing his players, Dravid explained, 'It is not necessarily about scoring double hundreds, there might be scores of 50-60 and these scores are great scores in such conditions'
It's just being realistic in our assessment of our batsmen, their averages and their numbers and don't really look so much into it, you have to be realistic about what the benchmarks are now, wat the standards are, Dravid added.
