After winning the Test series 2-1 against Australia, Team India is all set to face the Aussies in a 3-match ODI series as their road to the 2023 ODI World Cup begins in Mumbai.
The hosts will be without Rohit Sharma and T20 skipper Hardik Pandya will lead the Men in Blue in the 1st ODI in his absence.
For a change, history is stacked against Team India as Australia is one team which has troubled the hosts at home.
India has won just 2 of their last 6 ODIs vs Australia in India, which includes a 3-2 series win for the Aussies in March 2019.
But with Shubman Gill in cracking form and Virat Kohli back to his best, India will breathe a lot easy.
However, Steve Smith will lead the Aussies in the ODI series as well and with David Warner all set to make a comeback, the series promises to be a cracker of a contest.
