IND vs ENG 3rd Test Day 3: Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill put India in command

Not many expected it but India is in command of the 3rd Test after Day 3. The hosts were 196/2 at stumps and lead England by 322 runs.

The Three Lions failed to capitalise on a brilliant Day 2 with the bat and were bowled out for 319, losing the last 5 wickets for just 20 runs. Mohammed Siraj the chief destroyer with 4 scalps.

In reply, India lost skipper Rohit Sharma early for 19 before Yashasvi Jaiswal took matters into his hands. The Southpaw smashed his 3rd Test hundred before being retired hurt for 104.

Shubman Gill also scored a gritty 65 not out as the duo stitched together an unbeaten 155-run stand.

However, Rajat Patidar failed to impress yet again and was out for a duck. Nevertheless, India still has a long batting line-up and is looking good to post a massive total.
