In reply, India lost skipper Rohit Sharma early for 19 before Yashasvi Jaiswal took matters into his hands. The Southpaw smashed his 3rd Test hundred before being retired hurt for 104.
Shubman Gill also scored a gritty 65 not out as the duo stitched together an unbeaten 155-run stand.
However, Rajat Patidar failed to impress yet again and was out for a duck. Nevertheless, India still has a long batting line-up and is looking good to post a massive total.
