After whitewashing Sri Lanka, Rohit Sharma's Team India will take on high-flying New Zealand in the first ODI at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Wednesday.
With KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer not available for the three-match series, Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar are likely to take their places in the Playing XI.
Kishan had to sit out of the Sri Lanka series despite scoring the fastest double-hundred in the history of ODIs while Surya had to warm the benches despite being in sublime form in the shortest format.
In the absence of Axar Patel, the management might bring in spin all-rounder Washington Sundar into the Playing XI.

New Zealand, on the other hand, will be without experienced campaigners in Kane Williamson and Tim Southee. The Kiwis are also coming off a 2-1 series win against Pakistan.
India though will be aiming for a perfect series because a 3-0 scoreline will see them become the No. 1 ranked ODI team in the world.
