New Zealand captain Kane Williamson will miss the third T20 International against India on Tuesday due to a pre-arranged medical appointment.
New Zealand head coach Gary Stead cleared the air over Williamson's unavailability. He informed the media that Williamson's medical appointment has nothing to do with his recurring elbow issue.

The 32-year-old Kiwi captain will rejoin the squad for the three-match ODI series against India, starting November 25.
Meanwhile, Mark Chapman has been named as Williamson's replacement in the squad.
In Williamson's absence, pacer Tim Southee will be at the helm of affairs as the Kiwis will look to level the series after losing the second T20I by 64 runs.
The first match of the three-match series was abandoned due to rain.
