As Team India is gearing for the third and final Test against South Africa, pacer Mohammed Shami is on a verge of joining an elite club of Indian legends.
Shami has 45 wickets in 20 Test innings against South Africa. If he manages to take 5 more wickets in the Cape Town Test, he will become the second Indian pacer to take 50 Test wickets against South Africa. Shami has taken 11 wickets in the first two Test matches, including a five-wicket haul in Centurion.
With 84 wickets Anil Kumble leads the chart of most wickets by Indians against the Proteas, followed by Javagal Srinath (64), Harbhajan Singh (60) and Ravichandran Ashwin's 56 wickets.
