Rishabh Pant crossed a massive milestone in the 1st Test vs South Africa. The youngster became the fastest Indian wicket-keeper to register 100 dismissals in Tests.
Pant came into the Centurion Test with 97 dismissals to his name from 25 Tests but surpassed his idol and former India captain, MS Dhoni, in the 1st innings itself. MSD had achieved the feat in 36 Tests. Wriddhimian Saha is also on that list, along with Kiran More, Nayan Mongia and Syed Kirmani. Moreover, Pant also became the sixth Indian keeper to join the elite list.
After missing the 2-match Test series vs New Zealand, Pant once again donned the wicketkeeping gloves in the 3-match Test series vs South Africa.
