It was the last opportunity of the year for Virat Kohli to end his poor run with the bat and get to the much-talked-about 71st international hundred, but the Indian Test skipper failed to get the monkey off his back.

Virat was dismissed for 18 in the 2nd innings of the Centurion Test, once again fishing outside the off stump. Thus, he ended the 2nd-consecutive year without a single hundred. Virat last scored an international hundred way back in November 2019. It's not like Kohli has looked out of form since then but he has failed to convert good starts into a big one. The Delhi lad has crossed a score of 30 ten times in his 25 Test innings since that hundred but none of it was converted into a ton.
