KL Rahul stood tall on the Boxing Day Test as India ended Day 1 of the Centurion Test vs South Africa at 272/3.
Virat Kohli's decision to bat first proved to be the right one as Mayank Agarwal and KL Rahul put together a 117-run opening stand. Agarwal was out for 60 but Rahul went on to smash his 7th Test hundred and remained unbeaten on 122. Cheteshwar Pujara failed to impress yet again and Virat Kohli too went back for 35. But an under-pressure Ajinkya Rahane dropped anchor and counter attacked. He remained unbeaten on 40 and made sure India ended the opening Day in command.
