Kagiso Rabada will not play in the upcoming 3-match ODI series against Team India which is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, Cricket South Africa informed.

CSA who rested the South African pacer at the last moment said that he was being released due to high workloads over a sustained period of time. They also said that Rabada who has been continuously playing since early September and has now stayed in different bio bubbles for a long time needed to recover from the New Zealand Test series beginning next month. New Zealand is set to play a 2 match Test series against South Africa starting 17th Feb.
Cricket South Africa further informed that no replacement will be brought in for Rabada because there is an extended squad in place in the bio-bubble environment. However, they informed that George Linde has been retained from the Test team as an extra spin-bowling option for the series.
