Team India head coach Rahul Dravid has hinted that Mohammed Siraj might not regain fitness ahead of the Cape Town Test vs South Africa, starting January 11.
Dravid said that the fast bowler is not fully fit and the team management would have to check on his fitness status going forward. Physio will run some scans and will assess if he can get fit.
Siraj injured his hamstring during the Wanderers Test and bowled just 9.5 and 6 overs in the two innings respectively. Responding to that, Dravid said that not being able to use the 5th bowler did affect the team's strategy and was a factor in India losing the 2nd Test.
Team India will have to choose between Umesh Yadav and Ishant Sharma if Siraj misses out on the series-deciding 3rd Test.
