Team India continued its dominance in the shortest format of the game as Rohit Sharma's men thrashed Sri Lanka in the 1st T20 by 62 runs to take a 1-0 lead in the 3-match series.
Put into bat, Ishan Kishan smashed a fiery 89 and powered India to 199/2. Shreyas Iyer also gave a big push with an unbeaten 28-ball-57.
Chasing which Sri Lanka never got going and lost wickets at regular intervals. Bhuvneshwar Kumaar and Venkatesh Iyer took 2 wickets each as the visitors could manage 137/6.
It was India's 10th consecutive win in T20I. They are only the 2nd Test-playing nation after Afghanistan to get to 10 or more victories in the shortest format.
