Referring to Test veterans, Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma feels that although Shreyas Iyer had big shoes to fill in & he did well.
Shreyas Iyer who has been adjudged ICC's Player of the Month got a fair chance of showcasing his talent after Rahane and Pujara were left out of the Test squad. Rightly using it, the 27-year-old batter who has been performing well in all formats of the game scored a brilliant 92 and 67 in the 2 innings of the 2nd Test against Sri Lanka that India won by a massive 238 runs.

Saying that Shreyas will get better with travelling, Rohit highlighted that although Iyer knew he was stepping into the big shoes of guys like Rahane and Pujara, he has everything that he requires.
