India's premier pacer Jasprit Bumrah produced a brilliant spell in the Day-night Test against Sri Lanka at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. He completed his 8th five-wicket haul as Sri Lanka batters surrendered against his pace and swing. Bumrah's 5 for 24 is the best bowling figure by a pacer against Sri Lanka.
On Day 1, Bumrah used the night conditions to his advantage and swing the ball in both directions. After taking three wickets on Day 1, Bumrah scalped two more in the first session on Day 2 which helped India bowl out Sri Lanka early. Thus taking his first five-wicket haul at home.
Sri Lanka were bundled out for a mere 109 runs after Shreyas Iyer's 92 powered India to 252 in the first innings.
Bumrah has played 29 Test matches and taken 120 wickets in Test cricket so far.
