Injury woes are back to haunt Team India as BCCI rules out cricketer Sanju Samson of the remaining 3-match T20I series vs Sri Lanka.

The 28-year-old hurt his knee while fielding in the series opener in Mumbai, which India won by two runs on Tuesday. BCCI in its statement further informed that the All India Selection Committee named Vidarbha wicketkeeper-batter Jitesh Sharna as Samson's replacement.

India will play the 2nd & 3rd T20I vs Sri Lanka on 5th and 7th of January.
