Team India led by Rohit Sharma sported black armbands in tribute to India's legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar during the first ODI against West Indies at Narendra Modi Stadium in Motera, Ahmedabad.

In a tweet, BCCI said, "The Indian Cricket Team is wearing black armbands today to pay their respects to Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar ji who left for her heavenly abode on Sunday morning. The queen of melody, Lata didi loved cricket, always supported the game and backed Team India."

Earlier, former skipper Virat Kohli, Virender Sehwag, and many sportspersons took to social media to condole Lata Mangeshkar's demise.
