Impressed with his performance in his first game for India, skipper Rohit Sharma lavished praises on Ravi Bishnoi. Giving away just 17 runs, the 21-year-old who became the first player of the under 19 batch of 2020 to play for the senior Team, brilliantly picked wickets of Roston Chase and Rovman Powell in the same over in his debut match vs West Indies on Wednesday.

'Bishnoi is a very talented guy, which is why we drafted him into the squad straight away, said the Indian opener. Adding that the team 'sees something different in him', Rohit Sharma further said that Bishnoi has got a lot of variations and skillset with him. Sharma also highlighted that the young cricketer can bowl at any stage gives a lot of options to rotate the other bowlers. Sharma feels that while Bishnoi is a talented player, the onus of how to use him in the game now falls on the team.
India registered a comfortable 6 wicket win with 7 balls remaining to take a 1-0 lead in the 3 match T20 series against West Indies. Both teams will play the next match on Friday.
