The freshly appointed captain Rohit Sharma led Team India brilliantly as West Indies failed to win a single match during their India Tour and the hosts registered a thumping 3-0 win in the T20s as well as ODIs.
After winning the last match of the Windies' tour by 17 runs, the elated skipper in the post-match presentation said that the team got pretty much everything they wanted. Praising the young team, Sharma said that despite missing out on a lot of players, the unit played as a good chasing side. It was good to see players bailing the team out in situations, he added.

The Indian captain who is looking widely at all combinations keeping in mind the upcoming T20 World Cup said that he wanted to observe how the players reacted and called it a good challenge to defend in both games against a quality West Indies team.
His team will next play 3-match T20I series against Sri Lanka starting 24th February in Lucknow.
Rohit Sharma also became the first Indian captain to lead the team to 3 or more series whitewash in the T20I format. He has earlier helped the Men in Blue sweep Sri Lanka in 2017, West Indies in 2018, and New Zealand in 2021.
