In delighting news for fans, Eden Gardens in Kolkata has allowed spectators up to 75% of its capacity during the 3-match T20I series between India and West Indies from February 16.
The decision came after the West Bengal government allowed all indoor and outdoor sports activities with that much per cent of fans at the venue. Eden Gardens, which is the 2nd-biggest cricket stadium in India according to capacity, is likely to see around 50,000 fans for the T20I series.
Notably, Kolkata hosted the third T20I of New Zealand's tour of India last year with Eden Gardens operating at 50 per cent capacity.
