It seems that the BCCI has finally moved on from Test veteran Cheteshwar Pujara as he was dropped from the Indian Test squad that will tour West Indies soon.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India announced a 16-member squad for the two Tests scheduled in July but it did not feature the stalwart.
His forgettable outing in the recently concluded WTC Final vs Australia was impetus enough for the selection committee to make the transition and bring in the younger generation consisting of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ruturaj Gaikwad.
Well, it's not the first time that he has been dropped. Pujara faced the axe after the Test series vs South Africa but was called back into the Test squad after a decent run with English County side Sussex.
However, he has since failed to replicate that magic for the national side and was living on borrowed time, which finally ran out.
