Fans are in for a few India vs Pakistan matches starting from Asia Cup 2023 and emotions will run high in these pressure games.
Kapil Dev summed up what builds up this pressure and makes the clash between arch-rivals a high-octane affair.
In an interview with The Week, the 1983 World Cup-winning captain said, 'Pressure doesn't come when you're facing the ball. It starts building up when your waiter gives you coffee and says, Pakistan se nahi haarna (don't lose to Pakistan). So that's how the build-up takes place.'
India will take on Pakistan in at least 2 matches in Asia Cup, which might go up to 3 if both teams qualify for the final.
The arch-rivals will then lock horns in Asian Games 2023 before shifting focus to the all-important ODI World Cup clash in October.
