Team India will look to level the three-match series when the Shikhar Dhawan-led side takes on South Africa in the second ODI at JSCA Stadium in Ranchi on Sunday.

With Deepak Chahar ruled out for the remainder of ODI series, India's already weak bowling line-up needs to rise to the occasion to keep the series alive.

Mohammad Siraj and Avesh Khan have so far failed to impress and that might open the door for uncapped Bengal pacer Mukesh Kumar.

On the batting front, India will be hoping for better returns from their openers, Shikhar Dhawan and Shubman Gill.

However, Shreyas Iyer and Sanju Samson's powerful knocks in the first ODI do raise hopes of another good performance from the duo in the must-win game on Sunday.

South Africa, on the other hand, have much to play for with crucial Super League points on offer. They are currently in 11th position on the points table and need to win each and every game for the automatic qualification for the 2023 ODI World Cup.

Being hosts, India have already qualified for the marquee event next year irrespective of their position in the Super League.
