Rain has been a persistent issue in the ongoing Asia Cup 2023 in Sri Lanka, and it appears to be posing a threat to the much-awaited final between India and Sri Lanka in Colombo.
The clash between India and Bangladesh experienced no interruptions from rain. However, weather forecasts suggest that the final on Sunday may not be as fortunate.
Accuweather predicts that the India vs Sri Lanka match is likely to commence on time, albeit under cloudy skies between 3-6 PM. However, the outlook darkens with thunderstorms anticipated at 6 PM and 8 PM, potentially causing delays in the game.
Although the weather is expected to improve around 9 PM, another spell of rain is foreseen around 10 PM. This raises concerns about potential disruptions during the match.
In case rain intervenes on Sunday, a reserve day has been scheduled for the final. However, this contingency plan might also be affected by inclement weather, adding to the uncertainty of the much-anticipated Asia Cup 2023 final.
