It was long due but Bhuvneahwar Kumar is finally the highest wicket-taker in the powerplay in T20Is. The veteran pacer achieved the incredible feat when he dismissed Ireland captain Andy Balbirnie for a duck in his very first over the Dublin T20.
It was Bhuvi's 34th scalp in the powerplay overs and he pipped West Indies' Samuel Badree to get to the milestone. Badree had taken 33 wickets in 50 innings. New Zealand's Tim Southee, who has 33 wickets from 68 innings, is Bhuvi's closest competitor among the current players.
Bhuvneshwar game away just 2 runs in his first 2 overs but finished with 1 for 16 in his 3 overs in the 1st T20.
