Chennai Super Kings went all out for Deepak Chahar and they managed to buy back their consistent performer for a whopping ₹14 crore in the IPL 2022 mega auction on Saturday.
Deepak Chahar, who had a base price of ₹2 crore is so far the 2nd-most expensive buy of the auction with Ishan Kishan remaining the most expensive buy till now. CSK was locked in a bidding war with the Rajasthan Royals before finally buying out the all-rounder.
Interestingly, he is now the most expensive buy for CSK in the IPL auction history.
