With an aim to make cricket more football-like, IPL franchise have reportedly approached several English and Australian cricketers, offering them multi-million full-time deals.
As many as 6 English players, as per reports have been approached by the IPL teams for a 12-month contract according to which they'll be required to quit international cricket. The move will make the T20 franchise owners, their main source of income, rather than playing for their country. The report also pointed out that the lucrative deals offered to the Englishmen are worth 2-5 million pounds/year.
IPL's next target is to pursue senior foreign players--- who might then reject their national contracts to get the attractive deals offered by the Indian franchise owners, who have teams not just in the IPL but in the SA20, the CPL as well as the ILT20.
