Gujarat Titans' coach Ashish Nehra said that the franchise has bought a strong all-round squad at the IPL 2022 mega auction. However, he feels that their success in their first IPL season will totally depend on how the players get along.
Nehra who was accompanied by the team's batting coach Gary Kirsten in the mega auction said that although the team looks 'strongest' it does not mean that they will win this IPL. The team has a combination of youngsters along with experience, he added.
One of the 2 new teams in IPL, Gujarat Titans who will be led by Hardik Pandya bought a total of 20 players in the recently ended mega auctions to build a 23-member squad. The franchise spent the maximum on Lockie Ferguson and Rahul Tewatia who were bought for a whopping 10 crore and 9 crores respectively in the mega auction.
'When you talk about T20s, you need all-rounders and we have done that' said Nehra whose team has bought as many as 9 all-rounders including the skipper Hardik Pandya.
