Kishan continues to skip Ranji matches

The players who are fir and not on national service have all received advice from the BCCI to participate in the Rani Trophy matches. Ishan Kishan did not show up because he was not present for Jharkhand's game in the premier domestic event.

The individuals who really count in the Indian cricket establishment are not fond of Kishan's behaviour of missing match after match since returning halfway through the national team's South Africa trip, citing "travel fatigue". Despite this, Ishan Kishan missed his state Jharkhand's last Ranji Trophy game this season.

“There is a recent trend that has started to emerge and is a cause for concern. Some players have begun prioritising the IPL over domestic cricket, a shift that was not anticipated. Domestic cricket has always been the foundation upon which Indian cricket stands, and it has never been undervalued in our vision for the sport,” Shah wrote in a letter addressed to players as per ESPNcricinfo.

“Our vision for Indian cricket has been clear from the outset – every cricketer aspiring to play for India must prove themselves in domestic cricket. Performance in domestic cricket remains a critical yardstick for selection and non-participation in domestic cricket will carry severe implications,” he added.
