Despite his swashbuckling double ton, the fastest ever ODI double century, the prolific youngster Ishan Kishan could not cement his place in the India XI. While this has divided cricket pundits and fans alike, ex-BCCI president Sourav Ganguly is of a different opinion.
Ganguly in an event said that while he is sure that Kishan will get his chance, it still isn't his time yet. The former skipper went on to add that in India, there are too many options, but who can or cannot play is the head coach and skipper's decision.
The left-handed batter created history on December 10 against Bangladesh in Chattogram when he scored 210 runs from 131 balls, becoming the youngest and fastest to score a double century in ODIs.

However, because the designated ODI opener Shubhman Gill too has been among the runs, the Patna-born cricketer's incredible knock could not guarantee him a place in India's following ODIs.
