Veteran Indian cricketer Ishant Sharma who had made himself unavailable for the ongoing Ranji Trophy has joined the Delhi squad in Guwahati.
The pacer, however, will not be able to take part in Delhi's opening match against Tamil Nadu which will be played on Thursday as he will be under strict quarantine for 5 days. The 33-year-old is likely to play his first game on February 24th when Delhi faces Jharkhand.
Ishant Sharma's cricketing career is hanging by the thread as reportedly BCCI has issued the ultimatum to a couple of senior players that the Indian board will now focus on other talents available. Sharma who has played 105 Tests for India is no longer a regular feature in the playing XI of the Test team.
