Bazball, what Bazball? India had Jaiswal! In a stunning display of power and finesse, Yashasvi Jaiswal stole the spotlight as India faced England on the first day of the test match, rendering the "Bazball" approach irrelevant. With England posting a modest total of 246 runs, Jaiswal emerged as India's star, leaving spectators in awe.

As India stepped onto the pitch for their innings, it was clear that they had their own version of Bazball – the incredible talent of Yashasvi Jaiswal. From the outset, Jaiswal exhibited his aggressive intent, setting the tone for a thrilling innings. In a jaw-dropping moment, he welcomed England's debutant bowler, Tom Hartley, with a resounding six off the very first ball he faced from the left-arm spinner.

Despite the challenging conditions of the pitch, Jaiswal appeared remarkably comfortable at the crease. While captain Rohit Sharma played a supporting role, Jaiswal took charge with an array of boundaries. During the first 10 overs, India raced to 68/0, showcasing Jaiswal's extraordinary prowess with the bat.

Jaiswal's relentless assault continued, even as Rohit Sharma departed after contributing a brisk 24 runs from 27 balls, falling victim to Jack Leach for the fifth time in Test cricket. However, the young left-hander remained undeterred.

Partnered with Shubman Gill, Jaiswal maintained his aggressive approach. At the end of the day's play, he stood unbeaten at an impressive 76 runs from just 70 deliveries. Under his leadership, India reached a solid score of 119/1 after 23 overs, trailing England's first innings total by a mere 127 runs.
