James Anderson and Stuart Broad are among the 8 English players who have been dropped by England for their upcoming 3 match Test series against West Indies which will take place in March.
The veteran duo who have together taken 1177 Test wickets in total was not a part of England's 16 member squad which ECB announced on Tuesday. While Joe Root will continue to lead the team, wicketkeeper-batter Joss Buttler, Dawid Malan, Sam Billings, Rory Burns, Haseeb Hameed have also been dropped.

While emphasizing that exclusion of the 2 seamers does not mean that their career ends with the English Team, Andrew Strauss, the England team's interim managing director said that the selection of a new-looking squad is the start of a process and a journey to get England Test cricket back on track.
