England batter Joe Root has claimed the top spot among the batters in the latest ICC Test Rankings.
The former England captain ended Australia's Marnus Labuschagne's reign as the top Test batter in the world.

Root recently became only the second Englishman after former captain Alastair Cook to cross the 10,000-run mark in the longest format.
The 31-year-old has been on a sensational run in Tests over the last couple of seasons. The Yorkshireman has already scored 4 centuries this year alone.
Australia's Steve Smith stays third on the rankings, while Pakistani skipper Babar Azam & New Zealand captain Kane Williamson complete the top five.
