In a significant boost for the Bangladesh cricket team, their star wicketkeeper-batter, Litton Das, has made a triumphant return just in time for the Asia Cup 2023 Super Four stage.
Bangladesh secured their place in the Super Four after a commanding 89-run victory over Afghanistan in their final group match.
Initially, Litton Das had been ruled out of the tournament due to illness, but he rejoined the squad after receiving medical clearance on Tuesday. His return is a welcome sight for the team, providing a much-needed boost to their batting order.
However, Bangladesh are currently grappling with multiple injury concerns within the team. Najmul Hossain Shanto, the centurion against Afghanistan, was observed clutching his hamstring on multiple occasions, raising concerns about his fitness.
Another concern revolves around Mehidy Hasan Miraz, who suffered finger cramps after achieving a century and was forced to retire hurt during the game.
In addition, Mustafizur Rahman had sustained a niggle against the Lankans that prevented his participation in the crucial clash against Afghanistan.
