Mitchell Santner to lead New Zealand T20I squad against India

Veteran all-rounder Mitchell Santner has been named the captain for the upcoming 3-match T20I series scheduled to begin later this month in India.

While Tim Southee and Kane Williamson will both be absent from the India tour, Santner will lead the team in the T20Is and Tom Latham in the ODI series.

Further, left-arm fast bowler Ben Lister has been named for the first time in a Black Caps squad which consists of 15 names. The Santner-led side has 9 names from last year's T20 World Cup. The new players apart from Lister include Henry Shipley and Michael Rippon.

The 3-match T20I series begins on 27 January in Ranchi.
