Barely a few days before Team India is scheduled to play a home series vs the West Indies, a Covid-19 outbreak in the camp has disturbed the preperations of the Rohit Sharma led side. The members of the team underwent the mandatory Covid-19 tests upon arrival and upto 8 members tested positive. BCCI treasurer Arun Kumar Dhumal confirmed that there were multiple cases in the team and all players and support staff are in isolation.

While Dhumal didn't give out the details, mutiple media outlets including Sportstar are reporting upto 8 cases in the team including big names like Shikhar Dhawan, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shreyas Iyer and some more from the support staff.
The 1st of the 3-match ODI series is scheduled to be played in Ahmedabad on Sunday 6th February under the leadership of Rohit Sharma.
