After India's 16-run loss vs Sri Lanka in the 2nd T20I of the 3-match home series, India head coach Rahul Dravid addressed a press conference where he backed Arshdeep Singh, who had a pathetic day at work.
Of all 7 no-balls, Arshdeep bowled 5 which the opposition made use of aptly and posted a 207-run target on board. Calling him a skillful bowler, Dravid extended his support and said that international cricket is learned while on the job and hence the 23-year-old should be given some time.
Dravid also heaped praise on Axar Patel whose stunning 65-run knock went in vain. The head coach said in the absence of Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel has emerged as a reliable all-rounder. He further hinted towards Jadeja's comeback, which should as per him happen soon.
While speaking about the new-looking T20I squad, Dravid said the team will now prefer no chopping changing much and will patiently go ahead with the comparatively younger side.
