After the SunRisers Hyderabad bought Nicholas Pooran for a whopping ₹10.75 crore in the mega auction, a delighted Pooran gave his West Indian teammates a pizza party inside the bio-bubble.
The local manager told PTI that since outside food is not allowed, Pooran placed the order at the hotel chef for 15 pizzas which cost him ₹15,000. As the team is in a grade one bio-bubble, everything had to be sanitised and even the temperature had to be maintained.
A day after the pizza party, the strict bio-bubble resulted in Pooran getting a shock in his hotel room. The Windies batter had requested a spare phone charger which had to be sanitized before it was given to him. 'Sanitiser contains alcohol and probably it did not dry up properly when he plugged it and got a mild jolt,' added the manager.
