No Indian in ICC Men's T20 Team of the Year, Pakistan's Babar Azam named captain

The ICC on Wednesday named its T20 Team of the year for 2021 but there was no Indian on the list. Pakistan's Babar Azam has been named as the skipper of the team.

Along with him, countrymen Mohammad Rizwan and Shaheen Afridi are also on the list. Indian opener Rohit Sharma who hit 424 runs in 2021 was not picked as Jos Buttler was preferred over the newly-appointed India T20I captain for the opener's role. South Africa also has 3 players on the list - Aiden Markram, David Miller and World No. 1 T20I spinner Tabraiz Shamsi.
